Tyler has been a barista for 5 years. His coffee journey started when he was just 12 years old, “I certainly didn't think this is where my small interest would take me. I was water skiing on the lakes of British Columbia with my family and on some frigid early mornings, I would steal sips of my mom’s warm coffee just to have a moment of warmth and comfort.”

A trip to Italy after graduating changed everything he thought he knew about coffee.
”I had my first cappuccino and was hooked.
I came back home and was obsessed with the difference between great and not-so-great coffee. I shifted my focus and began working in specialty coffee. I became hooked on the subtle nuances in taste caused by so many factors, bean varieties, roast profiles, brew methods, and extraction to name a few.
As I progressed, I became more and more interested in the upstream world of the coffees supply chain.”
